Different types of knitting process



Knitting is more important for fabric construction. In this knitting process many types of machine are used. Single jersey, double jersey, rib, interlock and many other types of machine are used. This machine is used follow the fabric stricture.
According to frame design and needle bed arrangement.
v         Flat knitting machine
v         Circular Knitting machine
 According to number of needle bed set of needle.
v          Single jersey knitting machine
v          Double jersey knitting machine
According to end of product.
v         Garments length machine on fully fashion machine
v          Fabric machine on cutting and sewing machine
According to basic structure of weft knitting.

Different types of machines features for knitting process
      Flat knitting machine has two stationary needle beds. Latch needle are use, angular cam of a bi-directional cam system is used. The carriage traverses in reciprocating manner across the machine width (40”), there is a separate cam system for each bed. Two cam systems are together by a bridge.
      We know that, the main substance for fabric manufacture is yarn (cotton, silk etc). Knitting is the other a good number used method, following weaving processes that turn yarns or threads into fabric. It is a multitalented method that can create fabrics having different properties such as wrinkle-resistance, stretch ability, better fit, mainly demand suitable to the rising popularity of sportswear and informal wears. Now-a-days, knitted fabrics are used commonly for making garments, underwear’s, sweaters, jeans, suits and coat separately from rug and other home fittings.
      The structure of knitted fabric is the assess by the amount of stitches or loops per square inch. When the interlock loops run lengthwise, is called a wale and other direction is called a course.
